With a background in architecture I enjoy making a new interpretation of buildings and structures. I don't do accurate detailed architectural drawing, but rather find an exciting composition of forms, such as my suspension bridge paintings, or emphasise the relationship of built to natural form such as my Lindisfarne Castle paintings. My Scottish distillery paintings have a character of their own with the stark simple buildings set in dramatic context.
